Why My Gowns Are Worth It

I know handmade maternity gowns can be a bit of an investment — and here’s why. Each one is made by me, by hand, with a ton of care and attention to every little detail. No factories, no shortcuts, no mass production. These gowns are designed to make you feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident during such a special time. Some items take more than a day to sew plus the background admin time and increasing cost of materials. I use high-quality Australian sourced fabrics and take my time to make sure each piece fits and flows just right. When you buy from me, you're not just getting a gown - you're getting something made with heart, just for you.

And because I truly care about your experience, if anything ever needs a little fixing or adjusting, I’m here for you - I'm a service you can rely on.

How You Can Receive a Discount

Running a handmade business has its challenges, especially with rising material and production costs. To give you more flexibility, I offer two pricing options:

1. Full Price, Fast Turnaround: If you need your gown sooner, you can order at the "On Demand Price" with a quick turnaround time (Read more about production times here or get in touch if you need to know exactly how long your order will take to make)

2. Discounted Price, Batch Production: If you're open to waiting a bit longer, I offer a discount on your item if you're willing to have it made as part of a batch. Once I receive 5 orders that use the same fabric or fabric supplier, I’ll produce the batch and pass the savings on to you, with a maximum production time of 6-8 weeks.

Tell Me More, You Say!

Can the 5 item batch minimum be reached sooner than 6-8 weeks? Absolutely! I will send a notification to your order email when I have reached the batch minimum and your gown will be underway.
What if the batch doesn't reach 5 orders? No worries, I will still make your gown for the discounted batch price and produce it within the 8 weeks as a thanks for your patience.
Can I add to a batch that has been reached? I will announce on socials (and email if you're signed up) when a batch has been reached. This means if you haven't actually ordered yet, you have the chance to add to that full batch- and it will be produced straight away, at the cheaper price! I order fabric the next business day after the batch has been reached- so there will be up to 24 hours to get any further orders in as part of that batch (or longer if its a weekend!). Once fabric is ordered, a new batch will start.
Can I make changes to my order while waiting for the batch? Sometimes yes. Just be aware that refunds cannot be given because your order affects other customers that are part of the batch. BUT I will always do whatever I can to accommodate your changing needs. In some cases you may be offered store credit or a refund minus any admin fees depending on the circumstances.
Can I choose 5 items and make my own "batch"? YES! If you buy 5 items yourself you can get the batch price even if the designs are different, and they will be made "on demand". There are a few rules about this- such as separates are not included- (these are already discounted in a different way!) A simple batch order can be created through my cart system, but if you're unsure how your cart is calculating, please get in touch and I will assist in creating your order. All own batch orders will be made on demand (straight away) but may take a little longer if you have ordered a lot- remember I am a one-woman show! I want my own "batch" but I need more options? If you're unable to reach 5 items for your own batch from my available styles, get in touch and let's find some more colours or styles that might work for you to reach the batch minimum.
Are there any other bonuses to batch ordering? Yes! All precious parcels of batch orders are sent with free shipping insurance- so rest assured you're covered if anything goes missing once it's posted. PLUS, if you make up your own 5 item batch, you'll also receive a FREE Bloom Maternity calico tote bag to keep your gown safe enroute to your photoshoot! - while stocks last.
Can I combine discounts? Already discounted items and ready to send items are not included in batch production. You can purchase these on top of your batch order to save on shipping if you like- but they will be sent all together once the batch order is ready unless you check out separately.
